Smartlynx Airlines and Lufthansa Technik, which specialize in ACMI and charter services, have signed multi-year contracts to expand their existing partnership.
The agreements cover maintenance services for the Airbus A320 family and landing gear services for the Airbus A320, A321 and A330 fleets. Based on the experience of the existing partnership, SmartLynx Airlines has trusted Lufthansa Technik with more than 25 C-checks for its A320 family aircraft, to be carried out from November within the MRO expert’s base maintenance network in Europe. Starting in October, SmartLynx will receive comprehensive landing gear services, including overhauls for Airbus A320, A321 and A330 aircraft, replacement landing gear and possible loaner landing gear depending on individual needs. Since May 2023, SmartLynx’s Lufthansa Technik fleet will be operational with Total Component Support (TCS) on all 60 Airbus A320, A330 and Boeing 737MAX flights.
