The Danish airline has added its first medium-haul jet, the Airbus A321neo, to its fleet. The aircraft was delivered from the Airbus factory in Hamburg.
By operating the A330neo and A321neo in parallel, Sunclass Airlines becomes a pure Airbus operator and is supported by the manufacturer’s unique commonality. The A321neo is the long-body aircraft in Airbus’ A320 family, capable of carrying up to 244 passengers comfortably up to a range of 8,700 km/8,700 nm. The A320neo family features the widest single-aisle cabin in the sky and delivers at least a 20 percent reduction in fuel burn and CO2 emissions and a 5 0 percent reduction in fuel burn and CO2 emissions, thanks to cutting-edge technologies such as new-generation engines and Sharklets for improved aerodynamics and performance Noise reduction compared to official generation aircraft. As of November 2023, the A321neo will cost 5,600 orders for more than 100 customers worldwide.
