The state low-cost airline Ryanair was able to announce new members of its board: the Austrian Elisabeth Köstinger and the Irishman Eamonn Brennan. From April 1st, they will assume the position of Non-Executive Director.
Elisabeth Köstinger, future member of Ryanair’s board, originally worked as a politician in the ÖVP, and she also worked in the European Parliament from 2009 to 2019. She also served as Minister for Agriculture, Sustainability and Tourism for a time. In 2022 she will leave politics to act as CEO of an Austrian ESG fintech.
Irishman Eamonn Brennan is a former director of the national aviation authority and held the post of director general of Eurocontrol’s European air traffic control from 2018 to 2022. Brennan played a leading role in European airspace traffic.
